How do you set proper goals
for yourself in
SFI?
When you turn on a road with
clear directions and desires carefully defined, you actually
program yourself for success, in order to
achieve those goals. This is why I’ve joined SFI:
to change my life and get a better one!
The
power of your mind is not a myth, since it is shown that it can help
you do things that, speaking
aloud, seem impossible! For example, we are so excited when starting a new project, but could we manage to stay motivated and focused on that project to the end regardless all the obstacles? How many times did we give up pretty quickly reaching a goal just because we met daily all kinds of thoughts and problems?
Here are some tips
that help me setting goals in SFI and
going all the way to achieve them:
1. Don't Confuse Your Path With Your Destination. Your goal is not that of others!
For this purpose SFI provides a powerful tool for all of us: “the To Do List” Tab
As strange as it sounds,
we often confuse our goals with those of others. Even if it's a promotion at
work, a new client, our SFI business or just a new outfit, we have to feel that
we want it and not
our spouse, our boss or another person. Our desire
must arouse certain emotions when
we think about achieving it, and that should not
leave us indifferent. Never confuse where you are
now, with where it is you want to be. This is a new day, and only you can live
the way you need to achieve and soar to new heights.
Within the “To Do List” Tab you'll find an
easy-to-follow list of actions designed to help you build a successful SFI
business. In addition to daily, weekly, and monthly actions for growing your
business, there are also sections listing specific actions to promote Team
Leadership and increase TC sales. Work hard daily, and continue to stay focused
on obtaining the life that you want for you and the people who matter most to
you. Always in achieving a goal you have to feel
like you won something important. Also, even if it
is not directly about an own goal, you have to feel as motivated as you feel you
would benefit from, too. For example,
many times at SFI,
our home-based business, if you see that you are rewarded as expected, and then you work differently, get
involved and stand for
your Team purposes. This is explained by the fact that humans slow to do
anything that does not bring any benefit,
regardless of its nature.
2. Set your goals
according to your values! For
this purpose SFI provides a powerful tool for all of us: “the Tips” Tab
Hyrum Smith developed a
model for goal setting. Smith's "Success Triangle" puts governing
values at the base of the goal setting process. He believes that every goal is linked specifically to a
governing value. If
the goal you set is congruent with and allows you to live your most important
values, you are more likely to accomplish the goal. This actually refers to set goals in all aspects of your life, to maintain
your life balance.
Values are those things that we consider to be of worth. Values
are our guidelines for living and behavior. You are less likely to
experience warring priorities if every aspect of your life has a value-based
goal.
So, stop to the “Tips” Tab daily for earning value:
an SFI Tip of the Day, an Affiliate Tip of the Day, a strong motivational Quote
of the Day, and an informative Did You Know section stressing relevant aspects
about SFI that you'll want to keep in strongly as you grow your and your team business.
3. Believe You Can Accomplish the
Goals!! Read the “Testimonials” or “What others are saying about SFI”.
At the bottom of your Affiliate Center
home page, every day you could read some good “Testimonials”, or “What others
are saying about SFI”. SFI partners are proud to call themselves SFI
affiliates. Why? Because SFI provides values for all of us! Each of us has a
little voice in our head.
Unwillingly, in every moment, the voice of
our sub-conscious discusses and comments everything that
happens to us, makes plans, and
loudly expresses what we do not
have the guts to do it. These internal reviews
can be both positive and negative. Positive thoughts help in meeting goals, create that
beneficial state of mind to make you go where you intend to. Thoughts
and negative comments,
conversely, inhibit this process because
they undermine our self-esteem and self-confidence, and negatively
impact our ability to accomplish our goals.
Listen carefully to your voice and do not give
up!
You can change its tone by believing in yourself and in your ability to do things and making every criticism into
something constructive. If
you are a manager, one of your more important tasks is to support the
development of positive self-esteem by your staff members. Your positive
outlook and belief in their ability to accomplish great goals foster their
increased self-esteem and self-confidence. This, in turn, magnifies their
ability to accomplish more and contribute more to your SFI business.
4. Visualize the end results!
SFI provides a powerful tool for all of us: “the Scoreboard” Tab
It is said that the goals are grouped around some measurable consequences: if you can measure the
effects it is easier to get to
them. But don’t tie yourself to setting
only measurable goals, because sometimes the most important goals, the
non-urgent, critical goals, are hard to measure.
The “Scoreboard” Tab is your
spot for tracking and comparing your own progress with other SFI Affiliates, as
well as viewing important SFI statistics as a whole. Think of your SFI
Scoreboard Tab as your day's "business account"!
In a
reputable company as SFI, for instance, as you move up the management
ranks EA, BTL, STL, GTL, PTL, you may find more of your goals are harder to
measure. The key measurable aspects of your job will likely be the results
produced by your reporting staff. Thus, when
you are dealing with such purposes, start with a picture in your
mind, that you commit to paper, that describes the outcome you are seeking. Make the picture as vivid as you can. I
have a published book in my mind, while I am still thinking about and exploring
potential topics.
5. Write down your goals! I use to
write down my SFI goals on my Journal.
After you've made clear in mind what you want, write these thoughts on a piece of paper as you feel
them. Writing out your goal is your commitment to
achieving the goal.
For instance, I know that I am missing 100 Action
VersaPoints. What should I do? I am writing down on my Journal how many days
rest until the end of the month and how many Action VPs I could earn by doing
my daily tasks.
Then I am planning my future steps to achieve my next rank or
to maintain my current rank. Writing is
a powerful statement in comparison with half-formulated thoughts in the back of
your mind. It's like you've promised yourself that
you will do everything you
can to achieve the objectives written. Noting potential
action plans and due dates of the steps makes the goal even much closer to realization.
6. Share goals with
your SFI team! Communication is the most powerful tool
in SFI! For this purpose SFI provides the “Stream” Tab too!
Communication is the most
powerful tool in SFI! If you consider that
there are people who would
support and encourage you in meeting your goals, then do not hesitate and talk to
them about it.
Even in SFI,
do not hesitate to share your
goals with your Sponsor or Co-sponsor, you will have whole-hearted
support from him / her, as
your success is the TEAM success.
How?
Using the “Stream” Tab in SFI!
7. Measure and track your progress regularly! For
this purpose SFI provides the “Goals” Tab for all its partners!
SFI provides a powerful goal accomplishment tool
for all of us: the “Goals” Tab.
Your “Goals” Tab is one of the tabs that appears on your Affiliate Center home page.
You are most likely to
accomplish the goals you set if you review them daily as part of your normal
planning process. Here,
you can review the goals listed on your Affiliate Profile. To update your goals,
just click the “Edit my goals” link at the bottom of the page to access your
Affiliate Profile and save your changes there. Your updated goals will be
immediately reflected on your “Goals” Tab.
Whether you use a Journal or the “Goals” Tab on
your Affiliate Center home page, you can enter your
goals, and schedule daily and weekly and monthly actions that support their
accomplishment. The discipline of the daily review is a powerful goal
accomplishment tool. It is a kind of self-discipline, a powerful tool that will help you realize that what
you want is not impossible, but
even shapes with
every step you make.
8. Identify and remove obstacles! For this purpose SFI provides the
“Movers” Tab for all of us!
If you have done the
previous steps, but you are not satisfied with progress, then you need to identify what stops you advance. In order to determine whether
a goal is very important or not
for your progress in SFI you have to ask yourself: Is this
goal really important? Perhaps there are other goals that actually are
more important, but you have not realized,
and thus you do not focus enough on any one.
The “Movers” Tab is the proper tool to manage you in the right way of
communication and team building, of how to create the Duplication.
If you have determined that it is a primary goal,
then ask yourself: What specific obstacles interpose my ability to achieve the aim? Make a plan of action
to remove them or ask for help from
your Sponsor or Co-sponsor.
A careful
but honest analysis can show you things that
you might have missed or have refused to take
into account. Start with what you've noted
previously, all your developments, set deadlines,
a.s.o. Here you will observe
where you left behind, which is why what happened
and how to resolve this issue.
As I said before, communication is the most powerful
tool.
9. Reward yourself
and celebrate each goal accomplishment with your team, A2A friends and family! And
again, for this purpose SFI provides the “Stream” Tab for all of us!
Your “Stream” Tab is a great way to communicate with your team and A2A friends
about every goal accomplishment! Even a minor goal
accomplishment deserves to be celebrated!
Do not think all the time about how many things you
have to do, but enjoy the things you made,
and then look to
the next step. It is necessary
to feel the satisfaction of a job
accomplished because it will motivate forward to get involved in the achievement of other objectives and will
build your self-confidence.
Celebrate what you have accomplished and do that
with your Team, your A2A friends, congratulate yourself and do not forget to
congratulate tour team and especially your Sponsor and Co-sponsor for their
great support!
The last but not the least, talking seriously, I
celebrate my SFI goals accomplishment with my husband and we drink a good beer!
Cheers!
10. Refresh your
goals! For this purpose SFI provides another tool for
all of us: the “Growth” Tab!
If you're the kind of person who sets goals for a longer
period of time, then reserve your
right to periodically check if they are out of date. The “Growth” Tab
shows you the goals accomplishment of your team and of other SFI partners. It
is also a strong motivational tool, managing you to work hardly in the future
for you and your team.
Maybe you have changed certain circumstances, or maybe you no longer
want the same things, consequently
avoid staying loaded
with details that do not interest you anymore.
Also, if you lose too much time with the same goal, it's time to review the situation. You
must always progress;
you should not get stuck in one place. The “Growth” Tab shows this issue every day! Does not hurt to be more
critical and radical sometimes
even to yourself!
We
depend heavily on purposes, desires, dreams.
They guide us in life
and help us move forward. And the more we reach
and fulfill more
of them, the more we consider both full and
confident in ourselves. So do not set goals randomly
but give them proper attention
because you're the only one who will benefit!

Remember! The most important
tip for me and for all of SFI partners is to Take Action to Achieve Your
Dreams! NOW!
Dream Big…Aim High!
